Many people ask, “Well, what’s there to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake?”
There is a lot to there, depending on your time. The following list is some things that you can do during your free time on either of our Niagara Falls Tours. The free time from May to October is 1 hour, but from November- April the free time is only a half hour, so you may not get to check off as many items from the list.
- Shopping. There are so many cute boutique shops; you won’t know where to start.
- Visit the Trisha Romance Museum. Located across the street from the park, is the Trisha Romance collection. It is housed in one of her old houses. (In case you aren’t familiar, Trisha Romance is a famous Canadian painter from Niagara-on-the-Lake, who paints scenes from her early family life.)
- Play in the park.
- Pretend to check out the menu of the restaurant in The Prince of Whales Hotel, in order to get a great view of one of Canada’s most exquisite hotels. (The only 5 Diamond in Canada)
- Take pictures in front of the clock tower that was used in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
I know that I said that I would only list 5 things, but if you have more time in Niagara-on-the-Lake, you could attend one of the many George Bernard Shaw plays that play at one of the 4 theaters dedicated to his plays. Also, if you are in Niagara-on-the-Lake between January 15- 31, you could check out the Ice Wine Festival.
