On July 27, 2009, the Niagara Parks commisssion awarded Chariots of Fire a certificate on behalf of the "Spare the Air" program.
The award was for our policy of not allowing our vehicles to idle, causing carbon emmissions.  Not only do we not allow our vehicles to Idle at the different stops along our tour, we also reduce our emmissions by not idling in front of multiple hotels while waiting for late passengers.  With our 3 pick up locations, we can turn off the bus engine and wait for the passengers, instead of idling in their hotel's pick up and drop off lane.  (Which also causes a backlog of traffic, while the other cars/ buses/ taxis have to wait for us to move.)
