Well, the cold weather has started setting in. That means that it is time to start getting ready for winter. Here at Chariots of Fire, we have started transitioning or Niagara Falls tour rides for winter.
Our tour schedule is now: After we pick up from the various locations, and get to Niagara Falls, the first thing that you do is the Skylon Tower. The Maid of the Mist is closed for the season. (We will keep you updated about when the boat ride at Niagara Falls will reopen for the season, as well as who is running it. See the post dated October 31.) After the Skylon Tower, you will have your free time at Niagara Falls. When the free time is over, you will get back in the vehicle and ride along the Niagara River. We stop at the Floral clock (unless it is covered with snow), the Hydro-electric dams, and the whirlpool for 5 minutes, long enough to take pictures. The stop at Niagara-on-the-Lake is reduced to a half hour of free time. (In the winter, there aren’t as many pretty flowers that make the town so charming, as well, some shops close for the season, and some days, it’s just too cold to be out longer than a half hour.) The last stop is still at a winery for tasting.
