Well, the cold weather has started setting in. That means that it is time to start getting ready for winter. Here at Chariots of Fire, we have started transitioning or Niagara Falls tour rides for winter.

The Skylon Towers over Niagara Falls

Many people confuse the Skylon Tower with it’s larger cousin, the CN Tower. They are NOT the same.

The CN Tower, located in downtown Toronto, was the world’s tallest building. The Skylon Tower, located in Niagara Falls, isn’t as tall, but has a spectacular view of Niagara Falls and the Niagara area.

The Skylon Tower opened on Oct 6, 1965. The tower is 775 ft. tall, but it only takes a 52 second elevator ride to get to the observation level. There are both indoor and outdoor observatio...

Maid of the Mist closing for the season

On Saturday, I told you about the Maid of the Mist. If you would like to have a chance to go on this historic boat ride, you would have to hurry. The Maid of the Mist id closing for the Winter on Oct. 25. It will reopen again sometime at the end of April, or the beginning of May. You can check back on this blog in the Spring to find out exactly when.

Until the Maid of the Mist reopens, we will be substituting the Skylon Tower’s observation level for the Maid of the Mist on each of our tour...

No Hotel Pick ups?

Many people ask why we do not do hotel pick ups. There are a few reasons.

The main reason is that having only 3 stops saves time. Imagine that there are 30 people on the bus. On average, that would be about 10 different hotels. In order to leave Toronto by 9:00, we would have to start picking up at 8:00, or even 7:30 if there are people in Markham or Scarborough. If you were the first picked up, you would be on the bus 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours before getting to Niagara Falls. The same coming ba...
