I know that on our
Niagara Falls tour ride, you will not have time to see this, but....
Tonight is the opening cerimonies for the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls. What is the Festival of Lights? Don't they do that everynight?
The Winter Festival of Lights at Niagara Falls is more than illuminating Niagara Falls. After the sun goes down, they turn on hundreds of light sculptures all around Niagara Falls and the Dufferin Islands. There is a big display featuring Disney Characters not far from the Falls, and around the Dufferin Islands, there are alot of nature themed light displays, to name a couple.
Besides the night time light activities, they also have different performances on their Queen Victoria Park stage. This year, they will have a musical based on Narnia, for one.
They will also have something new this year, the "Rink at the Brink". It is an outdoor ice arena built within viewing distance of Niagara Falls. The Rink is schedualled to open later this month. I'll keep you posted.
